Get to know me...

Hello my name is Zillah Hodgkins and I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I began my career as a counselor of sexual assault survivors and over the last 20 years I have been gifted to work with and support various and diverse people from children to older adults, trauma survivors, those experiencing systemic injustice- racism, sexism, homophobia, depression, neurodivergence, suicidal ideation, grief, and chronic illness.

My goal is to support you in enjoying your joy, recognizing that your scars make you beautiful, relationships can be healthy, that normal doesn't exist, and being and embracing who you are is the most freeing experience!

My approach is grounded in compassion focused therapy which helps us understand how our experiences shape the way we respond to our selves and the world around us. Compassion is not about making excuses or burying your true feelings. It is about learning to meet yourself with less judgement and move through difficult experiences in ways that are healing and supportive.

Education and Credentials

I earned my masters and doctorate in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in social justice from the California School of Professional Psychology. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of California Berkely. I am a licensed psychologist committed to on going learning and expanding my clinical skills and I pursue advance training in areas that support the therapeutic process. My ongoing training includes Compassion Focused Therapy, trauma informed care, LGBT+ affirming care, clinical supervision, and neurofeedback.
